Frequently asked questions

How do I get a car?

Our criteria to lease one of our vehicles is:

  1. Be aged over 21
  2. Have a full UK / EU driving license for at least 1 year, with 6 points or less and no history of drink driving or driving uninsured
  3. Be able to provide 3 years address history
  4. Be working full time or self-employed for 1 year and earning £1200 or more a month after tax
  5. Have clear disposable income
  6. Have passed their probation period at their work
  7. Not have a CCJ / IVA from within the last 12 months
  8. Understand we operate a Pay-As-You Go system.
  9. Home address must be in England or Wales only.
  10. Be free/discharged from a bankruptcy.
How long is the lease?

All our leases are 3 years.

However, we do also have a small number of pre-registered cars available for 2 years, please enquire for details.

Are all your cars new?

All our cars are brand new and un-driven.

Do you have cars in stock?

We have a large selection of cars on our website and hold certain stock. If the car you request is not in stock we will order the vehicle in after you make your full initial payment.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

All that is required to take receipt of your car once you have been approved is an initial payment. This varies from car to car and the mileage band you select. Keep an eye on our special offers as this varies from time to time.

How much is a monthly lease?

Our leases start from £199 a month.

Do you deliver the car to home addresses?

We can deliver the car at a cost of £1 per mile (minimum charge is £50).

Alternatively you can collect from our depot in Erith Kent Monday to Thursday 09.30 – 17.30 and Friday 09.30 and 16.00.

You can collect your car on a Saturday from our depot in Sidcup, Kent 10:00 to 14:00.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to the whole of England & Wales.

What can my car be used for?

You are only permitted to use the Vehicle for social, domestic, pleasure purposes and for travelling to and from a place of work. You must not use the Vehicle for anything else. Using the car as a Taxi is not permitted.

What is pay as you go?

All our cars have telematics equipment installed, and every month you pay you will receive a new code. This gets entered and the car will continue to operate.

Does my car come with insurance and tax etc.?

You have to insure your car yourself with a fully comprehensive insurance prior to collection of the car. Your lease cars comes with the first year’s tax and manufacturer’s warranty. The second and third year of the Lease Period you pay for the annual road fund licence for the Vehicle. If you fail to pay for a road fund licence, this will entitle us to immobilise the Vehicle using the System.

What's covered on my warranty?

You are covered on mechanical faults by the terms set by the manufacturer, general wear and tear is down to you.

What's covered in my service plan?

You have a full servicing plan throughout your lease. We will notify you when your due to be serviced and you can book the car in at time that suits your schedule.

What is general wear and tear?

General wear is tyres, brake pads, clutch, windscreen wipers, scrapes, dents and scratches.

Can I end my lease early?

If you were to end your lease early you would have to pay 50% of your remaining contract.

How do I make my monthly payment?

All monthly payments must be made by direct debit.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If you make a late payment there is a £25 late payment fee and also a £25 charge to reset your direct debit.
If you miss a payment your car will be disabled so you cannot use it.

What happens if I get a parking ticket?

If you receive any kind of ticket you will be liable to pay this.

How do I enter the code?

We issue the codes to you by Text after we receive your monthly direct debit. Our accounts team are closed from 16.30 on a Friday and re-open at 9.30 Monday morning. Codes cannot be issued within those times.


At Wheels4Sure, we have two types of units:
If you have a remote in your car you have a PASS-TIME unit, when you receive your code please make sure you have the keys in the ignition turned to the right but without engine running. You must PRESS CLEAR TWICE and then you will hear a beep, then you PRESS PAY and enter the code that you have been given and you will then hear chirp.

If you do not have a remote you have an ON-TIME unit, when you receive your code just enter the code onto the keypad.
